Star-four adds a dramatic four-cross flare to very bright areas, giving a soft-focus effect.  Ideal  for photographs of  ladies wearing jewelry or other objects with strong reflections.

Vario  Cross - This type of filter has two pieces of glass mounted in it; each with etched parallel lines. The etched lines create four rays of light emanating from each light source point. The front glass can be turned separately to adjust the angle of the light rays.

Spectral Cross - A filter made by sandwiching black gauze-like fiber between two pieces of colorless, transparent optical glass in a rotating frame. Produces both soft focus and cross effects. An overall soft-focus effect is obtained for portraits, etc., outdoors with direct lighting, while back lighting or point light sources at night create heightened cross effects. The effect is somewhat softer than with cross screen and diffraction of the light produces a slight amount of flare.
